For people who dont know much about me, i'm a big fan and admirer of RGV and have always regarded him as an inspiration. Nobody in the Indian Filmdom can do films like what RGV has done (he keeps proving this again and again) and nobody ever deserves so much respect (and hatred) like him as he's single handedly showed and still shows how comtemporary films are made, WITH or WITHOUT PASSION.
Like always all great men have a downside say WISE PEOPLE.
Well all this blah blah is to tell you guys how much of a senseless movie “Dongala Mutha” is.
The following stuff is HIGHLY OPINIONATED. No lawsuits please, I was suffering with a MENTAL DISORDER while writing this.
Well sometimes its always not very ethical to call someone's film Bullshit and i've never done this before. This time i would like to say it again n again so that i keep in mind that i should never do what RGV did. If i ever wanna do something in my yet to start film career, then it would be not to make a film like “Dongala Mutha” and i guess no sensible filmmaker would ever come up with such a NONSENSICAL NUISANCE, i'm also assuming that this requires great talent too.
The film starts with a morning walk scene which looks like a perfectly burning Afternoon, when a industrialist played by Bhrami gets kidnapped and then a scene where Lakshmi Manchu kills a goonda and then we have an EXTREMELY TALENTED Ravi Teja and EVER SO CUTE CHARMI (oh yeah i caps'ed her :P) in a car goin to a friend's wedding through a short cut. Now thats all for the prelude; what happens next can be described in a simple paragraph which i don wish to do, because u can Wikipedia it urself. The only thing am gonna say is, These scenes were GOOD ENOUGH to prepare me for what was coming next, 80 MINS OF PURE TORTURE. I just couldn't stop laughing (definitely not intended by the filmmaker or did he do it intentionally, i still wonder) at my state of being there, STUCK. I couldnt walk out as i din wanna see my RS120 go wasted. Nor could i stay inside the theater as my going was getting tougher n tougher and at last i decided to frequently change seats and chk the camera's quality while projected on the big screen, from different distances. Also i made it a point to stand after every 10 mins so that my bottom does not get heated up with all that PRESSURE.
good one ;)
I seriously got irritated with some dialogues which seriously made me laugh at my situation. Especially those stupid “Ghantalo” and “Idharoo”. Oh God i just cant tell you guys how much i hated those 2 words after watching the film. All actors were completely wasted and no matter how many days he took to shoot the film and what technology he used, the film SUCKED BIG TIME. He sure made profits without question because of fools like me still go n watch his films out of pure respect and those audiences who were innocent enough to get decived by Ravi Teja and CHARRRRRMIIIIIIIII (oh yeah i caps'ed her again :D).
Mr RGV a few points for you, (as if you care, duh...)
- Nobody focusses the camera at Women's private parts unnecessarily. This is not france and this is no FRENCH FILM (or was it? Somebody help me here...)please forgive me Charmi, had to show my readers what i meant.(But the above scene was kind of justifyiable, now think of these kind of shotspopping up witout any reason, how wud that be??? )
- No crack head wears glasses the way Prakash wore, Maybe its your style but it sucks. It completely makes the use of the frames unnecessary. You can try makin your characters wear sunglasses with only rims in the next film and please post those pics in the posters and this time we'll take it on a serious note.
- Show me one police officer, nope just a person who looks as idiotic as Prakash's character in the film in real life? Now don get into an argument that Prakash was a Mafia Don and he was in disguise then it makes all the other characters in your film idiots. Ooops forgot that you made the Audience IDIOTS. Well lets move on to the next point.
- No guy with even 10% of common sense would've decided to stay in that resort after the guy at the reception behaved the way he did in this film. Prove me wrong if you can.
- If you wanna experiment something do it, but don please bring it to the theatres if it isnt good. And dont tell us you din know that this film was bullshit.
- A man will never ever walk out of the room leavin his wife in such an insecured place. Prove me wrong again, if you can. (unless and until he intentionaly wants to get rid of her :P)
- Maybe you made money, but i would like to say that you did not deserve even a penny of it. Before you pay the people who helped you make the film (YOUR PARTNERS IN CRIME) their salary, it would be nice to give it back to people who watched it. Especially u owe me RS120 in Ags Cinemas, Villivakkam. I will be fine with even RS100, but please give back something, i'm unemployed now and every penny counts man.
- Okay i don seem to have done enough justice in venting out my feelings i guess somebody better than me should review your film and am sure we'll have a lotta fun reading it. Definitely reading the worst of the reviews were more fun than watching your stupid film.
Thank you so much for your Film “Dongala Mutha” and i know you have more of such stuff in your mind. But i've decided now, Never again to your film. Thats It... Hope i keep this promise this time... i made the same promise last wen i saw your stupid remake of Sholay “Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhh thuuuuuuuuu”.
Sir, So many people look up to you for inspiration and i think its something great. Not everyman becomes an inspiration to someone, but sir you EARNED IT. You've grown into something big, a BRAND called RGV which even Mani Sir does not have. Maybe you don care about anyone but you know what there are so many of us who care about you and the least you could do is stop INSULTING and RAPING our RESPECT for you and the INSPIRATION we get from you.
When i started to learn about films i learnt one very important VALUE that a filmmaker should possess, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. Every person should possess it and filmmakers are people who can make an impact on the society big time then consider how RESPONSIBLE they should be. I like experimentation but not those which come in the form of DECIET. Thats NOT FAIR.
A person has the power to be a great ROLE MODEL and the same power to be a MORON, and it all depends on his choices. “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility” not sure how many times i've quoted this and i'm not sure if i can quote this here. Still i regard him as one great filmmaker, but am not gonna watch his films again. (come on Sreeni, you can do it... )
probably their reaction after watching the film LOL...
